Job Description Gulf Coast Center is seeking a PRN - Mental Health Crisis On-Call Case Manager to provide rapid response mobile crisis services in the community.
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in the Behavioral Science field of study and general knowledge of mental health disorders. The ability to remain calm in stressful situations, self-motivation, and good time management skills are essential.
Responsibilities Respond immediately to crisis calls and provide crisis assessment and intervention services to adults and children experiencing mental health and substance use crises.
Provide intensive crisis follow-up services, including crisis follow-up contacts, rehabilitative skills training, family education, community resource referrals, and transportation to community resources.
Collaborate with law enforcement, local hospitals, and other social service agencies to resolve crisis needs.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation of crisis services, including crisis assessments, progress notes, and discharge plans.
Requirements Bachelor's degree in the Behavioral Science field of study.
General knowledge of mental health disorders.
Ability to remain calm in stressful situations.
Self-motivation and good time management skills.
Ability to work in a team environment and establish cooperative relationships with individuals in crisis situations.
Working Conditions Work will be performed in the Office and/or Field settings, with varied work hours depending on client needs. Out-of-region travel may be required for training, and a current Texas Driver's License and reliable transportation are required.
