Role Description:
The Sr. Advisor, Clinical Pharmacy Programs reports to the Executive Director, Pharmacy plays a key role in supporting Medicare Part D STARs, clinical pharmacy initiatives, and enterprise-wide clinical guidelines and decision support efforts. This role involves clinical oversight, measure development, data analytics, committee leadership, and cross-functional collaboration.
This high-visibility position requires a self-starter who excels in a fast-paced environment, leverages data for insights, and enjoys tackling complex challenges. The role involves extensive collaboration with external payers, internal Pharmacy teams, clinical and operational field leaders, and regular communication with senior leadership.
Core Responsibilities:
Stars Program Support
Serve as clinical lead and subject matter expert for STARs Part D measure development, testing (UAT), and documentation.
Field and resolve Part D STARs-related escalations from care teams and leaders.
Maintain and enhance Part D STARs measure requirements based on CMS guidance.
Act as point of contact for clinical inquiries regarding Part D STARs.
Support ad-hoc data analysis, including year-end performance push initiatives.
Clinical Pharmacy Programs
Lead the scoping for clinical pharmacy programs and support the development and execution.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to align pharmacy interventions with organization goals.
Contribute to planning efforts by analyzing historical performance, program impact, and feasibility to inform future direction.
Develop and monitor KPIs, clinical metrics, and outcomes tracking to evaluate program effectiveness.
Provide clinical support and guidance for care teams engaged in medication management, patient outreach, and pharmacy-led initiatives.
Clinical Guidelines and Operations
Develop and maintain enterprise-wide clinical guidelines.
Lead content development for medication management guides and CDS tools.
Serve as Chair of the Pharmacy & Therapeutics (P&T) Committee.
Drive process improvement initiatives related to prescribing and medication management best practices.
Lead and support system improvement projects, including EMR enhancements and implementations.
What we’re looking for:
Bachelor's or Doctor of Pharmacy degree from an accredited institution.
Licensed as a pharmacist in good standing in the state the candidate resides
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in managed care or population health settings.
Experience with Part D STARs quality measures and clinical program design.
Strong analytical skills and ability to work with data to drive clinical decisions and program strategy.
Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.
Demonstrated leadership experience in committee or cross-functional teams.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, clinical documentation systems, and data interpretation.
Passion for excellence, willing to go the extra mile to achieve objectives and ensure consistently high quality work product
Ability to succinctly summarize and synthesize large amounts of information
Strong accountability and discipline against timelines and deliverables
US work authorization

The typical pay range for this role is:
$129,800.00 - $206,250.00This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
