Schedule
Monday-Friday 8 AM – 5 PM, with occasional weekend shifts

About the Role
As a BCN Hospice Team member, you will provide compassionate care and support to patients and their families who no longer receive treatments to cure terminal illness, instead choosing care to improve comfort and quality of life. Our team focuses on one patient at a time, providing care in home settings, nursing homes, assisted living facilities, hospitals, and Hospice Care Centers.

Requirements

A graduate of an accredited school of registered nursing.

Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse through the Kentucky Board of Nursing or participating COMPACT state Board of Nursing.

One year of general nursing experience is preferred; new nursing graduates will be considered.

Skilled in nursing practice and can maintain professionalism in moments of emotional stress.

Provide care in a compassionate nature while serving a diverse population respectfully and professionally.

Complies with accepted professional and ethical standards and principles.

Understands and supports the hospice philosophy and principles of death and dying.

Possesses and maintains current CPR certification.

Has satisfactory references from nursing school, previous (or current) employers, and/or professional peers.

Has excellent observation, good nursing judgment and communication skills, and can provide accurate and timely documentation.

Self-directed to work with minimal supervision and within an interdisciplinary team.

Flexible and cooperative in fulfilling role obligations to meet the needs of patients and BCN.

Will comply with BCN Employee Health, infectious disease, and vaccination policies.

Must be a licensed driver with a personal automobile in good working order, insured per state/organization requirements, with personal auto liability insurance of $100,000/$300,000 in bodily injury coverage.

Salary Description: $70,471 – $89,263 per year
