Quality Improvement Coordinator
Cook Children's Health Care System kindly invites applications for the Quality Improvement Coordinator position. This role supports quality and safety initiatives designed to improve patient outcomes and reduce the risk of patient harm. The Coordinator will coach others in safety and quality methods, develop regular statistical reports, manage data collection, facilitate quality teams, chair group subgroups, collaborate with IT on EMR development, audit and report quality efforts, and lead internal and external multidisciplinary improvement projects (e.g., SPS, NSQIP, CHA, CHAT).

Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing or PharmD
Licensure required with a minimum of 3 years clinical nursing or pharmacy experience
3 years quality improvement, education, or process improvement experience
Quality or Patient Safety Certification within 3 years of hire date
Master’s degree in business or a health related field is a plus
Understanding of Quality Improvement methodology and data collection and analysis
Excellent oral and written communication, organizational, interpersonal skills, and ability to work with all members of the health care team
Adaptability to changing healthcare environment and requirements
Certification/Licensure
Valid Texas Licensure as a Registered Nurse or PharmD, required with license to practice in the State of Texas
