Overview
Sentara Leigh Hospital located in Norfolk, VA, seeks a RN, Quality Improvement Coordinator. This full‑time position (40‑hour week, daytime shift) focuses on project management and facilitation, clinical oversight, and support for quality improvement and patient safety initiatives across the organization.
Responsibilities
The Coordinator will be responsible for:
Providing project management and facilitation for QI initiatives.
Coordinating, implementing, and evaluating medical staff performance improvement and patient safety projects.
Organizing task forces, reviewing evidence‑based literature/benchmarks, establishing indicators for monitoring quality and appropriateness of care.
Leading continuous improvement activities and achieving targeted goals.
Conducting medical record review, investigating complaints, and tracking/trending medical staff performance.
Qualifications
Registered Nurse (RN) license required.
BSN degree required.
Three or more years of current experience in QI activities preferred.
Experience in an acute‑care setting with demonstrated leadership, teaching, and QI/PI facilitation skills preferred.
Knowledge of regulatory and accreditation standards preferred.
