Overview Clinical Care Manager (Registered Nurse)
Base pay range: $115,000.00/yr - $125,000.00/yr. Work schedule: Monday - Friday, 9am - 5pm.
Location: New York, NY (as listed).
Essential Functions Recruit, hire, train and supervise (clinically and administratively) all clinical support staff for Ryan Health staff.
Oversee daily operations within departments and report unusual occurrences to Ryan Health Administration.
Monitor patient flow and nursing/practitioner workload to ensure staff productivity, quality of care and patient satisfaction.
Screen walk-in patients to determine who must be seen by a practitioner the same day.
Develop, implement, and monitor support staff schedules to facilitate smooth functioning of the clinical team and Laboratory Unit.
Respond to patients’ family complaints and inquiries; direct patients to the appropriate practitioner, department or referral source.
Coordinate all activities of the Prenatal Program.
Ensure electronic medical information (charts, referral forms, prescriptions, lab slips, etc.) is kept in a complete, safe, organized and confidential manner.
Provide clinical in-service training on an ongoing basis to Medical Assistants, Licensed Practical Nurses, and Registered Nurses.
Assist Clinical Management in implementing, monitoring and evaluating grant objectives and developing clinical procedures for assigned staff.
Serve as a liaison with other community agencies, health care providers, social services agencies, schools, etc.
Forecast, administer, and document immunizations.
Attend and participate in Center meetings (Quality Improvement, Peer Review, Practitioners Meetings, Supervisors Meetings).
Chair the monthly nursing meeting.
Practice infection control measures per OSHA Bloodborne Pathogens standards and Center policies.
Report problems or unusual occurrences to supervisor promptly.
Collaborate with other Clinical Care Managers within the Network and provide coverage as needed.
Other duties and/or projects as assigned.
Minimum Experience and Skills Two (2) years of experience in an ambulatory setting (e.g., emergency room, clinic, or health center).
Pediatric experience.
Supervisory experience.
Proficiency in Electronic Health Record systems.
Computer literacy in a Microsoft environment: MS Outlook, Word and Excel.
Strong organizational skills; ability to direct activities in a busy clinical environment.
Education, Licenses and/or Certifications Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited institution.
Current New York State Registered Nurse (RN) license.
Preferred Qualifications Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
