Overview
We are seeking a child care professional who has or can attain Colorado Early Childhood Professional Credential 3.0 Level 3, or a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctorate degree with a major emphasis in early childhood education, to ensure safe and effective programming, maintain licensing, and supervise all aspects of the Child Care Center at Purgatory Resort. The successful candidate will communicate effectively with children, parents, and employees to guide staff and support relationships with families. This position reports to the Guest Services Director.

This is a seasonal position from 11/1/25 to 4/12/26. Dates are subject to change based on applicant availability and business needs. This role includes a free season pass for the employee and dependents. For full benefits, please refer to the employer benefits information.

Hiring for seasonal positions occurs on a rolling basis. This position will remain open until filled.

Essential Duties / Responsibilities

Oversee all child care reservations

Manage Child Care Licensing procedures as mandated by the state of Colorado

Register with Colorado Shines Professional Development Information System

Complete quarterly budget for the department

Order and inventory all snacks and supplies bi-weekly

Interview, hire, schedule, and conduct reviews of employees

Create and conduct trainings with staff in compliance with state regulations

Assign daily work and tasks as needed

Organize and lead indoor and outdoor activities

Maintain cleanliness of the child care rooms

Collaborate with the 4-6 year old Ski School supervisors to best care for children in our programs

Implement and manage a summer camp offering

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Proficient with managing labor and expense budgets

Proficient in Google Workspace

Ability to learn POS system with ease

Self-motivated and capable of effective people and task management

Education and Experience

Colorado Early Childhood Professional Credential 3.0 Level 3 or higher

Or a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctorate degree with a major emphasis in early childhood education or related field with experience in child care

Group child care experience, background in guest services and teaching

Day or overnight camp leadership experience

1820 hours overnight camp leadership experience preferred

Customer service experience preferred

Working Environment / Physical Activities

90% indoors in a child care setting; 10% outdoors when snow play is available

Physical activities include frequent lifting/carrying of children and belongings

Occasional pushing/pulling objects up to 25 pounds

Frequently stooping, kneeling, reaching, crouching, and crawling

Holiday, evening, and early morning work hours required
