This is a full-time on-site role for a Case Manager/Paralegal located in Montgomery, AL. The Case Manager/Paralegal will work directly with our personal injury attorneys in a high-volume, fast-paced office environment. The successful candidate will assist the attorney in developing personal injury cases for settlement. The position entails extensive contact with clients' insurance adjusters and medical providers. Candidates must be able to gather, analyze, and research documents to manage a high-volume caseload. The ideal candidate must be able to multi-task, prioritize, and demonstrate attention to detail and time-management skills. Excellent organizational, writing, and communication skills are essential. Individuals must be a team player and place client care as a top priority.
Job Responsibilities
Assist law firm with all aspects of case management
Organize and maintain case files
Ability to use Alafile and CM/ECF electronic court filing systems as well as Alacourt and PACER
Must be able to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines, as well as prioritize work and work under pressure
Communicate case status with clients as the position requires a tremendous amount of client contact
Qualifications
High school diploma is acceptable. Prefer some college education and/or paralegal certificate
Previous case management experience with emphasis on personal injury is recommended or related jobs such as paralegal, legal secretary, or legal assistant at a law firm is preferred
Proficient in word processing, spreadsheet presentation, and database software such as Needles and Neos
Self-starter with ability to effectively manage multiple matters at once
Possess exceptional organizational skills as well as effective communication skills, both written and oral
