Position
The Archway is seeking a Case Manager
Responsibilities
Providing and coordinating case management services, therapeutic services, crisis management and transitional services to clients in shelter.
Responding to all shelter intakes and assessing for appropriateness in the shelter.
Providing admission assessments, developing service plans, assisting in setting goals and coordinating resources to stabilize crisis and provide individual safety planning.
Conducting client education groups weekly regarding DV, safety planning, life skills and coping.
Additional responsibilities
Providing intensive case management, advocacy and offering referrals for other needs.
Networking with other service providers and justice officials to facilitate client services and assist with a coordinated community response.
Accompanying clients to meetings with law enforcement agencies, lawyers' offices, medical providers or other social service programs as needed. Accompanying clients or arranges for accompaniment to court hearings.
Providing current information on community resources to other staff.
Assisting supervisor in training staff and volunteer as needed.

Qualifications
Bachelor's degree (B.A.) or Master’s degree (M.S.) in Social Work or related field.
A minimum of two years of experience in a social service field required.
Knowledge of family violence, crisis intervention, case management, social work theory and ethics.
Experience in and knowledge of family violence theory preferred.
LMSW preferred.
Current Texas Driver’s License Required. Must provide proof of automobile liability insurance.
Language Skills
English language skills required with the ability to read and interpret documents such as operating manuals and professional journals.
Ability to write routine reports, correspondence, and appropriate case notes.
Ability to speak effectively before groups of clients.
Bilingual in Spanish preferred but not required.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
