Base pay range
$36,656.40/yr - $48,789.84/yr

The Department of Family and Juvenile Services has an immediate opening for a Youth Case Manager in Hardin County. Responsibilities include case management and referral of youth to local community resources to address areas of need.

This is a federally funded time‑limited (FFTL) position. The duration of employment shall not exceed the life of the federal grant that funds the position. An employee appointed to an FFTL position is required to meet the minimum requirements for the classification and is designated as an unclassified (non‑merit) employee. An FFTL employee is eligible to receive benefits at the same level as a classified (merit) employee in a permanent position.

Examples of Duties or Responsibilities of This Classification

Meet with families and youth that have been referred to assist with services.

Maintain a juvenile caseload referred through formal court.

Assist in monitoring compliance of court orders.

Compile and prepare a report to the Court on status of juvenile.

May have to testify in Court.

Responsible for entering and tracking progress into the case management system.

Appear in Court to accept new referrals and give a report to the Court for cases referred.

Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements
Education: Associate’s degree in related field (minimum requirement)

Experience, Training, or Skills: 1 year of related experience preferred

Substitute Education for Experience: None

Substitute Experience for Education: None

Special Requirements (Age, Licensure, Regulation, etc.): None

Working Conditions
Performs job duties in an office and/or facility. Travel required.
