Base pay range $81,000.00/hr - $91,000.00/hr
Job Description We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated On-Call Hospice Nurse to join our team for the weekend schedule. In this role, you will provide high-quality care and support to patients in the final stages of life, ensuring their comfort and dignity. You will be responsible for responding to urgent patient needs as they arise during your on-call shift, which includes weekend coverage.
Key Responsibilities Provide direct patient care, including symptom management, pain relief, and emotional support.
Implement and monitor care plans, ensuring patient needs are met.
Communicate with patients\' families, offering education, support, and guidance.
Respond promptly to patient calls and urgent needs during your assigned on-call week.
Accurately document all patient interactions, assessments, and changes in condition.
Collaborate with the broader hospice team to ensure coordinated and compassionate care.
Travel throughout the city and surrounding areas.
Participate in regular on-call shifts (Friday 5pm - Monday 8am).
Qualifications Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas.
Minimum 3 years of hospice experience preferred.
Strong knowledge of palliative care and pain management practices.
Ability to work independently and make quick, informed decisions.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a compassionate and patient-centered approach.
Must be available for on-call shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays during your scheduled week.
