Utilization Review Surgery Nurse - RN Pascagoula Hospital | Full-Time | Monday-Friday rotating weekends/Holidays | United States
Position Overview: The Case Manager focuses on clinical quality and resource management, resulting in defined clinical satisfaction and financial outcomes. They coordinate patient care for a diverse population within the Singing River Health System. All duties are expected to be performed in accordance with Singing River Health System procedures, policies, accreditation standards, and governing guidance for healthcare employees.

Qualifications: Education: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing; Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred.
License: Current unrestricted Mississippi State nursing license.
Certifications: BCLS certification required upon hire. Prefer ACM or CCM (Certified Case Manager), Certification in Utilization Review, or CPHQ; certification must be obtained within 2 years. De-escalation training must be completed within 90 days of employment.
Experience: 3-5 years of RN experience in surgical nursing, Utilization Review, Ambulatory, or Acute Care relevant to Case Management.
Reporting Structure: Reports to: Director - Patient Resource Management

Physical Demands: Moderately active work involving sitting, moving about the office and facility, and travel within the SRHS service area. Must exert minimal force to lift, carry, push, or pull objects. Exposure to body fluids and tissues is possible, requiring proper precautions. Visual and auditory acuity are necessary, along with the ability to perform repetitive motions. Must be able to work extended periods without fatigue and adapt to schedule changes.
Mental Demands: Strong assessment and decision-making skills are required. Excellent communication skills are essential, along with emotional stability to handle high-stress situations. Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and multi-task effectively is necessary. Maintaining professional relationships within SRHS and external organizations is important.
Special Demands: Superior customer service and professional etiquette are required. Proficiency in computer use, including keyboard skills, MS Outlook, and Word, is necessary. Ability to apply clinical judgment across all age groups is essential.
