What to Expect (Job Responsibilities)
Submit prior authorizations to insurance companies to ensure prescription coverage for patients
Verify insurance coverage and prescription formularies to facilitate timely prescription pickup
Maintain accurate documentation of authorizations and monitor patient prescription authorizations
Address patient concerns and questions regarding the authorization process via phone
Collaborate with insurance companies, pharmacies, and providers to resolve authorization issues
What is Required (Qualifications)
High School Diploma or GED
Proficiency in using personal computers for word processing and electronic spreadsheets
Minimum of one year of experience in office work
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
