This is a temporary to possible permanent position as a Case Manager. In this role you will, you will provide case management services and work directly with runaway and homeless youth under 18, providing immediate crisis intervention, temporary shelter, basic needs and referrals to further support services, with the primary goal of reuniting youth with their families or finding suitable alternative placements. Outreach is also a component in this role. Conducting street outreach to identify youth at risk of homelessness or runaway. Building relationships with community agencies and organizations, with a focus of tabling at schools and events.
Qualifications and Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Social Service or related field and one year of working with youth, life skills training, and group facilitation.
A valid driver's license, acceptable driving record, reliable transportation, valid insurance, and a Motor Vehicle Check.
Strong organizational skills.
Ability to be focused and attentive for an extended period of time.
Able to develop, guide, and provide follow-up for client transition plans.
Ability to promote a positive attitude regarding LSS and other programs to the public.
Knowledgeable regarding community programs and referrals.
