The support specialist is a key member of the centralized Utilization Review team, responsible for time‑sensitive authorization tracking and resolution.
Responsibilities Obtain and track approvals, denials, and additional information requests from third‑party payers within the EMR.
Monitor the status of authorizations to ensure timely processing and resolution.
Qualifications High School Diploma/G.E.D.
Working knowledge of computers and software systems; strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills to effectively achieve department outcomes.
Minimum one (1) year of experience in healthcare.
Experience working in Epic is preferred.
