Spurwink is looking for a Care Coordinator/Cultural Broker to join our SHIFA ME Behavioral Health Homes Team in Lewiston. The role works across home, community, school, and office settings to support immigrant and refugee children and their families as they navigate resettlement, acculturation, trauma, and isolation.
Responsibilities
Partner with ShifaMe clinicians to deliver mental health services using the evidence‑based Trauma Systems Therapy adapted for refugees (TST‑r).
Complete psychosocial assessments, service planning, progress notes, and referrals.
Connect families with needed resources, coordinate with medical and educational providers, and facilitate cultural brokering.
Provide updates on treatment progress for managed care entries and maintain electronic records.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree (BA) in a related field.
Strong computer, communication, and time‑management skills.
Experience providing cultural brokering and familiarity with multicultural populations.
Fluency in both spoken and written Portuguese is preferred.
Maintain a current driver’s license and a clean driving record in accordance with Spurwink’s Driving Policy.
