This position delivers high quality professional recovery-oriented case management and skills training services to people with severe and persistent mental illnesses. This position is supported by an interdisciplinary team made up of professional staff including nurses, peers, psychiatrists and others, focused on providing state of the art integrated care. The person in this position will utilize their expertise to provide training in skills that primarily focus on furthering an individual's independent living, community skills, and overall wellness and recovery.
Responsibilities
Provide face-to-face and televideo training and skills training designed to address barriers and strengths related to an individual's recovery and wellness. Promote community integration, increased stability within the community, and an improved quality of life and implementation of self-determination for individuals served.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in a social, behavioral, or human service field.
Knowledge of mental illness.
Valid Texas driver’s license and maintain approved driving status throughout employment.
Preferred Qualifications
One year of experience in mental health assessment and/or crisis intervention and screening.
Master’s degree in psychology, social work, or a related human service field.
Bilingual preferred.
