Aspirus Health Plan in Wausau, WI is seeking a RN QUALITY IMPROVEMENT SPECIALIST to join our Aspirus Health Plan team. This position could also be housed in Duluth MN or Madison WI, but a Wausau location is preferred.

The Quality Improvement Program (QIP) is the framework for a formal process to assess and monitor our performance through a systematic approach of monitoring and evaluating the quality and effectiveness of care for our members. This promotes accountability and ensures identification and evaluation of issues that impact our ability to improve health care and administrative services provided to our members. This role collaborates with the Director of Operations to develop and implement a cohesive Quality Improvement Program that supports NCQA, HEDIS and Medicare Star Ratings.

Responsibilities
Collaborate closely with the Director of Operations to develop and implement a cohesive Quality Improvement Program that supports NCQA, HEDIS and Medicare Star Ratings.

Hours
Full Time or 1.0 FTE, 80 hours every 2 weeks.

Experience / Qualifications

2 years of experience in a quality improvement role or 3-5 years of experience in a health care related field preferred.

NCQA accreditation experience is preferred.

Excellent communication skills with ability to interact and collaborate effectively within all levels of the organization and outside clients.

Knowledge of the insurance industry including benefit plans, reinsurance and State and National mandates is desirable.

Knowledge of Microsoft Office and experience working with Excel, Visio and PowerPoint.

Detail oriented with strong organizational and time management skills. Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.

Effective verbal and written communication skills including presentation skills and the ability to manage and facilitate interdepartmental work groups.

Systems thinker with attention to detail.

Strong critical thinking skills.

Bachelor’s degree is required.

RN license required.

Possesses a valid driver’s license for required travel as needed between Madison, Wausau, and Minneapolis.
