This role assists the Director of Health & Wellness with administrative duties of the wellness department and coordinates resident care needs. Key tasks include staffing coordination, scheduling, documentation, medication administration support, training of new care staff, and ensuring compliance with regulations and company policies.
Responsibilities Ensure resident care staffing meets regulatory and company requirements; submit a 4‑week rolling schedule to the Director of Health & Wellness at least two weeks in advance.
Maintain the resident care scheduling book and record approved time‑off requests.
File resident documents chronologically and perform quality assurance checks.
Retrieve verbal orders, ensuring physician signatures within 14 days.
Assist with data collection and reporting as requested.
Review daily medication administration to ensure timeliness and accuracy; provide support and training during med passes.
Provide comprehensive new‑hire training for care staff, ensuring policy and procedure compliance.
Record physician orders and maintain transcription logs.
Protect resident rights and report changes in condition promptly.
Schedule appointments and arrange transportation for diagnostic, therapeutic, and medical services.
Implement fire safety and emergency evacuation procedures.
Review monthly medication administration records for compliance.
Support compliance with medication administration logs and policies.
Perform building rounds at shift start and end to assess resident care.
Work overtime as required during emergencies.
Model professionalism and positive conduct for residents and staff.
Participate in the Manager on Duty Program.
Perform additional duties assigned by the Director of Health & Wellness.
Lead Responsibilities Document scheduling and call‑off records for team members.
Rotate on‑call with the Director of Health & Wellness.
Assist with ordering supplies and cart audits.
Track and monitor lab orders.
Prepare required documents before in‑house physician visits.
Conduct Memory Care Room safety checks.
Perform monthly MAR reconciliations.
Enter lab orders for draw days.
Coordinate training and orientation days for new staff.
Thin charts and file medical records per regulatory guidelines.
Assist with care manager and medication technician evaluations.
Qualifications Certified Nurse’s Aid or Qualified Medication Aid certification.
High School diploma or GED.
Minimum age 18.
CPR Certification.
First Aid Certification.
Previous experience working with seniors (preferred).
