Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Qualified Medication Aide to join our healthcare team as Resident Care Coordinator.
Job Summary The Resident Care Coordinator provides direct care, supervises and trains the resident care staff, and assists with the facility’s marketing efforts. The coordinator communicates professionally with residents, families, and peers, and helps create a positive, caring environment. The Resident Care Coordinator is accountable to the Executive Director and may assume additional administrative responsibilities in their absence.
Qualifications High school education or equivalent, and/or certification such as CNA, LPN, RN, or LSW.
Previous experience in a care-related setting; experience with older adults preferred.
Current QMAP Certification.
Knowledge of Word Processing and Excel Spreadsheets.
Ability to communicate clearly, organize resident care and staff supervision, and physical ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and push.
Work Performance Expectations Resident Care Interview and orient new residents and their families.
Evaluate care levels, complete assessments, and monitor resident status.
Staff Development and Supervision Provide training, supervision, and evaluation of staff.
Monitor care quality and staff scheduling.
Medications Maintain MARs, supervise medication assistance, and ensure compliance with regulations.
Communication Communicate with residents’ families and coordinate care with healthcare providers.
Marketing and Administration Review health charts with potential residents and visit the community for evaluations.
Manage supplies, control costs, and serve as Manager on Call.
Guest Relations and Safety Provide courteous service and respond to needs.
Follow safety and infection control protocols, and know emergency procedures.
Performance Requirements Perform duties professionally, demonstrate good judgment, and attend scheduled training.
