Position Purpose
The Clinical Educator is responsible for designing, evaluating, revising, and implementing nursing education programs and new hire orientation. They act as advisers, role models, and mentors, assisting staff from novice to expert. They exhibit leadership, communication skills, and in-depth knowledge in their field. The education team also supports quality improvement, data collection, and supply chain management.
What You Will Do
Collaborate, communicate, and facilitate clinical education and orientation.
Prepare, deliver, and supervise global and unit-specific clinical education.
Support continuous skill development and training for staff.
Assist with competency and preceptor education.
Recommend best practices through consultation.
Monitor quality metrics specific to the department or specialty.
Ensure quality care in accordance with standards and regulations.
Minimum Qualifications
Graduation from an accredited nursing program with current NY RN licensure.
Master’s degree in nursing or actively enrolled in a program.
At least four years of nursing experience.
Clinical and teaching experience.
Participation in continuing education to maintain knowledge and skills.
Specialty credentialing and educational degrees preferred.
Maintains licensures and certifications as per NYS regulations.
Excellent communication skills; computer knowledge preferred.
BLS certification required.

Pay Range: $36.70 – $49.40, based on experience and education. Pay may vary by location.
