Overview Registered Nurse Clinical Educator - Cardiac Procedural Areas at St. Joseph's Health is seeking a Clinical Educator responsible for designing, evaluating, revising, and implementing nursing education program needs and new hire orientation. Educational professionals act as advisers, role models, and mentors for staff, assisting them from novice to expert. They demonstrate strong leadership, excellent communication, and in-depth knowledge in their field. The education team supports quality improvement, data collection, and supply chain management.
What You Will Do Responsible for collaboration, communication, and facilitation of clinical education and orientation in the area of expertise.
Prepare, deliver, and supervise global and unit-specific clinical education.
Maintain proficiency in area of expertise and support continuous skill development and training for staff.
Assist with ongoing competency and preceptor education.
Consult to recommend best practice.
Participate in monitoring quality metrics specific to the department or specialty.
Ensure quality care is rendered to all patients in accordance with New York State, National Standards of Practice, and Clinical Service standards of care and practice.
Minimum Qualifications Graduation from an accredited school of nursing with current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of New York.
Master’s degree with a major in nursing from an accredited program required or actively enrolled in a program.
Minimum of four years’ experience in nursing.
Recent formal and informal clinical and teaching experience.
Participates in continuing education and updates and maintains knowledge and skills related to specific areas of expertise.
Specialty credentialing and educational degree according to clinical practice specialty area preferred.
Maintains all licensures and certifications according to NYS regulations and specialty area requirements.
Participates in educational conferences and updates and maintains professional knowledge and skills related to areas of responsibility. Acquires and maintains skills necessary to support patient-centered care. General computer knowledge preferred. Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
BLS is required.

Pay Range: $36.70 – $49.40 . Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may vary within the stated range based on location.
