SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Install, modify or repair electrical/electronic systems, apparatus and components of new and existing building and manufacturing equipment/controls in accordance with applicable electrical codes. Equipment includes:
Single and multiple phase alternating current circuits of varying voltage, current and frequency
DC power and control circuits

480 VAC 3 Phase power wiring, distribution and control systems in an industrial environment

Gather and analyze data to help identify problems in a timely manner.

Installation and troubleshooting of relay and PLC controlled equipment.

Upload/Download programs and parameters into associated controllers with the use of a computer/labtop or manufacturer provided interface

Read/interpret building system blueprints and manufacturing equipment electrical drawings, wiring diagrams and schematics to make repairs, troubleshoot or install new electrical/electronic equipment.

Inspect/Install and determine the required size and type of wire, conduit, wire ways, electrical boxes and circuit protection of AC&DC electrical circuits.

Perform basic mechanical troubleshooting, repairs and minor fabrications, as needed.

Record the jobs completed on a daily time recording sheet, fill out inventory requisition slips for parts used for repairs.

Help maintain a good preventative maintenance program.

Perform other related duties as assigned (inclusive of Maintenance Mechanic responsibilities) and overtime as required.

Required Skills
EDUCATION: High school diploma (or equivalent) is required. Additional education in Industrial Electrician, Electro-Mechanical Technician or related field, preferred. Electrical Certification desired, but not required.
EXPERIENCE: Four to ten years of Industrial Electrician experience. Experience working in manufacturing/printing environment; preferred.
QUALIFICATIONS: Ability to read and interpret schematics and other documents; such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables. Advanced level use of personal computers, running windows-based operation systems and MS Office software packages.
Essential Functions: The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; sit; use hands and fingers to grasp, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception. Use of computers/laptops or other-related equipment.
While performing the duties of this job the employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts and is occasionally exposed to wet and /or humid conditions, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and risk of electrical shock.
