Education
Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing preferred.
Bachelor’s degree in a related field required.
Experience / Qualifications
CPHQ or C‑ONQS (Obstetric and Neonatal Quality and Safety) preferred.
Current RN licensure in the state of Florida.
Electronic Fetal Monitoring (EFM) experience.
Fetal monitoring education – intermediate or advanced every two years.
Significant obstetrical experience.
Strong knowledge base and clinical skills in electronic fetal monitoring, labor, birth, and high‑risk deliveries.
Experience in policy development.
Strong computer skills (Outlook, Excel, Word, and other MS software).
Strong organizational, time‑management, and interpersonal skills.
Effective teaching or training experience of diverse populations with varying skill levels.
Exceptional reading, writing, grammar, spelling, and punctuation skills.
Strong verbal communication and presentation skills.
Must be capable of working on several projects concurrently under tight deadlines, and able to prioritize to meet organizational goals.
Understanding of quality, risk management, and performance improvement preferred.
Must be able to work independently, be detail‑oriented and self‑confident.
Position Summary
The Quality Improvement Coordinator is responsible for providing support to multiple committees, abstractions, and submissions of required quality measures, and assisting in system‑wide activities for accreditation readiness.
Co‑manages QI Committees, maintaining agendas, minutes and follow‑up; sends timely meeting invites, reminders and document copies.
Collaborates with Department Chairs and Directors of OB/GYN, Pediatrics, NICU, OB hospitalist program, Executive Director and managers of the respective areas to develop/revise policies, procedures and guidelines; ensure staff competency, education and training; participates in service line quality programs and committee meetings.
Initiates and leads quality collaborative initiatives through the service line.
Develops strong professional relationships with members across the Florida Perinatal Quality Collaborative.
Serves as a clinical role model and resource for staff.
Performs case reviews and assists in developing corrective action plans.
Develops and monitors reports to identify trends and issues and works with appropriate parties to effect solutions. Abstraction experience is a plus.
Assists with Department functions as needed; possesses knowledge of internal policies and procedures.
Familiar with PolicyTech software and Jupiter Medical Center document requirements.
Supports OPPE/FPPE and regulatory abstraction and reporting.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Threshold Requirements
Annual Joint Commission mandatory education requirements, in‑service and health requirements, including new employee orientation.
TB/PPD Surveillance Program.
Maintenance of required professional licensing and/or certification(s).
