Overview Lutheran Social Services (LSS) is a private, non‑profit, human service agency serving more than 125,000 clients annually across Wisconsin and Upper Michigan. We provide outpatient behavioral health management, domestic and special needs adoptions, older adult services, support services for children, youth and families, community corrections programs, and support services for adults with disabilities and/or mental health concerns.
Position Summary Under the supervision of a Manager, the Quality Improvement Coordinator assists in ongoing performance and quality improvement (PQI) across the program. The role supports advanced administrative functions, leads workgroups, collaborates on special projects, and maintains a small caseload as an IRIS Consultant.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Maintain a reduced caseload as an IRIS Consultant while managing quality‑specific responsibilities.
Provide support and expertise to program staff regarding best practices, state certification standards, and LSS Standards to ensure quality services.
Continuously assess program needs related to continuous improvement of processes and procedures and compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
Analyze data, input metrics, outcomes, client demographics, incidents, and other information tracked by the PQI department; collaborate with PQI on this data.
Research and interpret state and federal regulations to respond to inquiries from operations and maintain program policies and procedures in compliance.
Assist the program and agency in preparing for ICA certification by providing expertise, training, and tools; maintain the LSS Standards portal and self‑reporting process.
Collaborate with IT to develop standardized and automated means for data collection.
Engage in program‑wide trainings and collaborate with PQI team members on projects.
Field questions from line‑of‑service staff regarding accuracy and compliance with data collection; run reports in electronic case management system and validate data with programs.
QUALIFICATIONS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Candidates must successfully complete background, caregiver, medical and any other checks required.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in social work, psychology, human services, counseling, nursing, special education or a related field and one year of supervised experience working with seniors and/or people living with disabilities; OR
In lieu of degree, a minimum of four years of direct experience related to the delivery of social services to seniors and/or people living with disabilities and long‑term care needs in community settings; OR
Be a current IRIS Consultant in good standing who has received an exemption from meeting these criteria by the Wisconsin Department of Health Services.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, MVR with satisfactory driving record per LSS Driver Safety Procedure, and ability to meet LSS auto insurance requirements.
TRAVEL Day trips up to 50%; some overnight travel may be required but not frequently.
