Overview Responsible for conducting Psychosocial Assessments, group therapies, and other classes, teach group skills to unit staff (as needed); incorporate knowledge in identifying patients’ needs in developing and implementing multi-disciplinary treatment plans. Coordinates patient’s stay from admission to discharge through collaboration with physicians, nursing staff and other healthcare professionals to enhance continuity of patient care, promote cost utilization of resources and enhance patient, nurse and physician satisfaction.
Qualifications Education: MA /MS, MSW from an accredited college or university is required in the mental health field. State of Alabama licensure or certification in field of specialty preferred.
Experience: Experience in psychiatric field, with ability to manage group, individual and family therapy.
Additional Skills/Abilities: Good communication skills, both verbal and written. Good organizational skills.
