Base pay range
$43,680.00/yr - $47,840.00/yr

Responsibilities

Obtain and track insurance authorizations for patient care, ensuring timely and accurate processing.

Communicate with insurance companies and payers to verify benefits and resolve any authorization issues.

Collaborate with clinical and administrative staff to ensure seamless patient scheduling and care coordination.

Maintain accurate records of authorization requests, approvals, and denials.

Assist in identifying opportunities to improve authorization workflows and reduce administrative burden.

Assist with paperwork and durable medical equipment (DME) as needed.

Deliver excellent customer service to provide a positive patient experience across the organization.

Access and retrieve medical records via HEALTHeLINK™.

Actively strive to improve patient service delivery through participation in QI/QA activities; attend and participate in all in‑services and educational conferences provided by staff and outside vendors.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent (Associate degree preferred).

Knowledge of insurance and medical terminology.

One year of experience in a healthcare practice (preferred).

Ability to communicate clearly and professionally in writing and verbally.

Familiarity with computers and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word).

Ability to multitask and work effectively in a high‑stress, fast‑moving environment.

Excellent customer service skills.

Awareness and sensitivity to the issues and health disparities faced by underserved populations.
