Overview Under the general supervision of the Laboratory Director, Manager or Supervisor, the Point of Care Coordinator will help with overseeing all point of care testing and clinical support within all Duly locations.

Hours: Monday- Friday; 8-4:30
Location: Glen Ellyn. Travel Required.

Responsibilities Training and Competency of clinical staff: Involved in training all new clinical staff that perform point of care testing. This includes weekly training sessions at a central location and may also include onsite training.
Assist in running annual competency sessions for trained clinical staff, this can include up to 60 sessions at a central location but also at clinical sites where needed.
Training as needed for new sites.
Site Visits: Routine site visits to ensure that regulatory requirements are fulfilled. This includes, but is not limited to checking QC logs, reagent labeling and manufacturer inserts availability
On demand site visits to help troubleshoot issues
Local travel 50-75% of time
Building relationships with Clinical Managers, Supervisors, and staff.
Reference Laboratory: Assist clinical and laboratory staff with test code and specimen questions.
Assist with resolving specimen problems.
Assist with setting up new accounts or submitting changes to accounts as needed
Assisting with courier schedules and issues, lockbox replacement and courier logs
Any other duties as assigned
Qualifications Education
High School Diploma or Equivalency
Qualified Phlebotomist
or
Associate/ bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a related field from an accredited university preferred
Phlebotomy Certification (ASCP, AMT, NHA, NPA)
or
MLT Certification (ASCP, AMT)
Point of Care Specialist Certificate (must be obtained within 3 months of starting) (ADLM)
Some medical/science background preferred
5 years Experience
Experience preferred in one or more of the following:
Point of Care testing
Clinical Laboratory
Phlebotomy
Basic knowledge of OSHA, CLIA, HIPAA preferred
Basic knowledge of Microsoft applications
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to assess skill level
Ability to work in a team
Must be able to work independently and be well organized
Must have the initiative to learn, show interest and be self- motivated
The compensation for this role includes a base pay range of $22-33, with the actual pay determined by factors such as skills, experience, education, certifications, geographic location, and internal equity. Additional compensation may be available through shift differentials, bonuses, and other incentives. Base pay is only a portion of the total rewards package.
