This position performs medical, technical, and administrative support services to contribute to the efficient day‑to‑day operations providing a positive patient experience. Clinical duties include escorting patients to exam rooms, taking and recording vital signs and medical histories, preparing patients for examination, assisting in procedures, and other duties as directed by physician. Provides administrative support to the providers and interacts with patients by scheduling appointments in tandem with provider availability, managing in‑basket and incoming faxes, interacting with patients in person and on the phone, answering clinic phone, collecting patient information, updating/maintaining electronic records, insurance verification/patient prior authorization for medication, ensuring the clinic has needed inventory for operation, and performing clerical tasks. This position is primarily assigned to a work location but may also float as needed to various UCR Health clinic locations. It may be required to work different shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. The position may primarily be assigned to the Riverside, CA clinic; but on occasion may also float as needed to various UCR Health clinic locations. Note: Per diem appointees may be scheduled on a pre‑scheduled basis or as needed day‑to‑day or called off from a pre‑established schedule as determined by the University and clinical operation needs.
Full salary range: $29.77 per hour. Compensation considers education, licensure and certifications, experience, and other business and organizational needs. Applicants must have current work authorization. We cannot sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa for staff. As a University employee, you will be required to comply with all applicable University policies and/or collective bargaining agreements, as may be amended from time to time. Federal, state, or local government directives may impose additional requirements.
