Overview Saint Alphonsus Medical Group (SAMG) is a physician led and accountable 650+ provider multispecialty group seeking a part time Palliative Care Physician to join its inpatient & outpatient Palliative Care service at our Boise and Nampa locations. SAMG is dedicated to improving the quality of life and the quality and efficiency of healthcare for patients with chronic conditions. Its team of palliative providers provide:
Hospital & outpatient, interdisciplinary team consultations for patients in need of palliative care.
Continuing education on palliative care topics for Saint Alphonsus health care providers.
Responsibilities Provide hospital and outpatient, interdisciplinary team consultations for patients in need of palliative care.
Collaborate daily with interdisciplinary teams including palliative care physicians, Advanced Practice Providers, RNs, social workers, chaplains, pharmacists, rehabilitation therapists and other providers.
Practice in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice and within the policies, values, and mission of the Saint Alphonsus Health System.
Schedule consists of primarily 3 outpatient clinic days per week between 8am-5pm, Monday - Friday with occasional weeks in the hospital (three 8-hour shifts) Mon-Sun.
Call requirement is shared equitably within the Palliative Care Team.
Requirements Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO)
Successful completion of an Accredited ACGME/AOA Family Medicine residency program or Internal Medicine residency program
Board certification through the ABFM or ABIM in Palliative Medicine (or obtain such certification within 3 years of employment)
Obtain Idaho medical licensure to practice medicine in all its phases, valid controlled substance registration with Idaho Board of Pharmacy & DEA
