Position Summary
$5,000 sign on bonus available!
Person in this position functions on a multidisciplinary team to provide care to persons with serious and persistent mental illness in community based settings.

Qualifications

Licensed Illinois RN.

Experience in psychiatric nursing or with mental health populations preferred.

Knowledge of psychotropic medications.

Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Ability to quickly establish rapport.

Computer proficiency required, including navigating and completing documentation in the electronic health record.

Ability to accurately complete required documentation within the prescribed time frames.

Ability to present and coordinate lectures for clients, parents, staff or community resources.

CPR training or complete within three months.

Valid driver’s license and ability to meet agency insurance requirements (designated programs).

Must have own transportation (designated programs).

Responsibilities

Work hours prescribed and any additional hours deemed necessary for the responsibilities assigned.

Demonstrate essential nursing skills; respond to medical crises when on site.

Assess physical/medical needs of assigned program clients.

Coordinate medical appointments for assigned program clients; provide transportation and support when needed.

Complete medication administration and training for program clients.

Complete prior authorizations as needed for clients’ medications.

Maintain communication with team leader and coordinator on medication assistance requests and budgets.

Build relationships with medical community and providers; advocate for program clients to obtain appropriate care.

Provide education to program clients regarding medical problems and prevention issues.

Provide education on nutrition, wellness, medications and symptom management to program clients either group or individual sessions.

Complete required Rule 132 documents including progress notes, MHA’s, tx plans and reviews.

Be familiar with court proceedings and available to make court appearances on behalf of Rosecrance clients.

Serve as a member of the team and participate in all team meetings and activities.

Exercise confidentiality in keeping with the Code of Conduct and with the framework of the law.

Deliver exceptional customer service consistently to every customer.

Serve as a role model for other staff, clients and customers and demonstrate positive guest relations in representing Rosecrance.

Assume other related responsibilities as delegated and assigned by management.

Schedule

Hours: Monday - Thursday 8:30am - 7:00pm (40 hours per week).

Shift: 1st shift.

Work Location
Rosecrance Walnut, Champaign, IL. Onsite (Community Based).

Compensation & Rewards

Starting pay based on education, experience, and credentials.

RN - $32.65 per hour.

BSN - $34.02 per hour.
