Job Description
This is a full-time, hybrid position. The candidate must be located in the El Centro, California area due to regular local travel for in-person patient appointments.

Responsibilities

Work with treating physicians/providers, employers, customers, legal representatives, and injured/disabled persons to create and implement a treatment plan that supports return to work and ensures appropriate, cost-effective healthcare services.

Demonstrate knowledge, skills, and competency in the application of case management standards of practice.

Use advanced knowledge of injury types, medications, comorbidities, treatment options, and job duties to advise on treatment plans.

Interview disabled persons to assess recovery, including whether injuries are occupational or non-occupational.

Collaborate with treating physicians/providers and utilize available resources to tailor treatment plans to the individual.

Work with employers and physicians to modify job duties to facilitate early return to work.

Evaluate and modify case goals based on progress and treatment effectiveness.

Independently manage workload, prioritize cases, and determine effective case management approaches.

Attend injured worker appointments when appropriate and prepare status updates for customers; perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education: Associates Degree or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing or related field.

Experience: 2+ years of clinical practice preferred. Workers’ compensation-related experience preferred.

Skills: Ability to advocate recommendations with physicians/providers, employers, and customers. Ability to work independently. Proficient in Excel, Word, and Outlook. Strong grammar and written communication skills.

Certifications, Licenses, Registrations:

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license required. Must be in good standing.

URAC-recognized case management certification (CCM, CDMS, CRC, CRRN or COHN, COHN-S, RN-BC, ACM, CMAC, CMC).

Travel: Must have reliable transportation and be able to travel to in-person appointments within assigned geography.

Internet: Must have reliable internet.

Benefits eligibility may differ by full-time/part-time status. Compensation depends on geographic market. The expected base pay for this position ranges from $75,000 - $100,000 annually, plus eligibility for a productivity-based bonus. Total compensation will be based on skills, experience, and performance metrics.
