The Texas Correctional Office on Offenders with Medical or Mental Impairments (TCOOMMI) Residential Case Manager is responsible for providing outstanding person-centered case management services to adults diagnosed with severe and persistent mental health disorders as well as substance use disorders who are currently housed in the Williamson County Dual Diagnosis Residential Facility (DDRF).
Responsibilities Meet with individuals who are receiving treatment at the DDRF to provide case management, skills training and psychosocial rehabilitative services in collaboration with Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselors (LCDC) at the facility.
Develop and maintain effective, professional working relationships with the DDRF staff, BCBS staff and outside community partners.
Develop a treatment plan addressing identified mental health needs and any substance use challenges in partnership with Residential LCDCs.
Provide services intended to stabilize mental health and substance use symptoms, reduce risk of recidivism, increase awareness and participation with community supports, develop self-advocacy, and assist with participation in independent behavioral health services.
Assist with transportation needs, including potential trips to the BCBS clinic.
Maintain a high level of detailed electronic documentation in accordance with company and state guidelines.
Work independently and as part of a team, prioritize needs during crisis situations, participate in regular meetings and trainings, and perform other duties as assigned with a positive attitude.

Differential Details Up to $4.00/hour - Tenure with BTCS
$0.75/hour - Bilingual
Up to $2.00/hour - prior experience in a similar role with a community center in Texas
$1.00/hour - Advanced Licensure
$0.50/hour - Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor
$1.00/hour - Masters degree in a related field
Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in human services*, with two years of comprehensive knowledge of mental health and treatment; ability to work independently and collaboratively within a fast-paced, recovery-focused environment; demonstrated aptitude to connect with people.
Must have a valid Texas Driver's License, meet Bluebonnet Trails Community Services driving requirements, and maintain approved driving status throughout employment.
If a degree is not in a Human Services field, a minimum of 24 college credits in a Human Services field are required.
NCIC and TCIC criminal background checks, substance use screening, and fingerprinting are performed prior to employment. An official copy of the college transcript is required.
Preferred Qualifications Master's Degree
Licensed Masters Social Worker, Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, Licensed Professional Counselor
Two years experience in providing wellness and recovery support services in mental health, substance use and/or crisis intervention and screening
Pursuit of clinical licensure in counseling, behavior analysis, family therapy, social work or a related field
Advanced licensure
Bilingual in ASL or Spanish
Experience in providing concurrent documentation
Licensure as a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor (LCDC)
