Job Description Join the State of Tennessee as a DCS Case Manager 1*. This is an entry-level position in the DCS Case Manager job series, responsible for professional case management work of routine difficulty.
Responsibilities:
Learn and adhere to departmental policy.
Complete all training hours as required by the Department.
Determine if abuse or neglect has occurred and make recommendations for reunification or termination of parental rights.
Monitor adoptive and foster families to check the compatibility of the child with the family.
Coordinate and observe visitations for children in and out-of-home placements to ensure meaningful visitations.
Qualifications:
Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor's degree.
Complete a criminal history disclosure form and supply a fingerprint sample for a background check.
Possess a valid motor vehicle operator's license at the time of appointment in some positions.
Successfully complete a prescribed course of training offered by the Tennessee Department of Children's Services.
Work Environment:
Work flexible hours, including weekends, holidays, and after hours.
Conduct home visits to assess the safety of homes.
Conduct multiple and on-going face-to-face visits with children, resource families, providers, kinship homes, and other relevant entities.
Salary and Benefits:
The approved starting salary for this position is $50,604. The salary range is $44,244 - $66,384 per year.
