Responsibilities:
Coordinate individualized orientation for all new unit/department Associates.
Plan and implement standardized learning activities to meet the needs of all levels of clinical Associates.
Serve as a role model and change agent to promote professional and technical development of Associates.
Provide consultative services to internal and external customers.
Integrate relevant research outcomes into learning activities.
Perform other duties as assigned or requested.
Education/Formal Training Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Allied Health, Nursing (RN), or Respiratory Care
Master's Degree in Allied Health or Nursing (RN)
Work Experience Requirements:
3-5 years in general nursing or clinical practice
3-5 years in teaching
Licenses and Certifications:
BASIC LIFE SUPPORT - American Heart Association
Registered Nurse licenses for Arkansas, Mississippi, Tennessee
Registered Respiratory Therapist licenses for Arkansas, Mississippi, Tennessee
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Knowledge and skill in clinical care
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively
Proficiency in a specialized clinical field
Supervision: No supervisory responsibilities
Physical Demands:
Must have good balance and coordination
Physical exertion up to 50 lbs occasionally and 25 lbs frequently
Requires close visual acuity, including color and depth perception
Frequent patient contact, exposure to body fluids and hazardous materials
Ability to react quickly in emergencies
Frequent travel outside hospital
