JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSE Functions as an advocate, educator, and coordinator of services for at-risk patients.

DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION The Primary Care teams at Samaritan Health Services offer comprehensive health care for all family members, from newborns to seniors, through pediatric, family medicine, and internal medicine providers. They promote preventive care, including annual exams, health screenings, and counseling on health and lifestyle.

EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS High school diploma or equivalent required.
One of the following required: Bachelor's degree in a health-related field with one year of healthcare experience; or an Associate's degree or technical program completion plus RMA or CMA certification and two years of healthcare experience; or three years of healthcare experience plus two years of professional customer service experience.
Healthcare Provider Level BLS certification required within 90 days of hire. RMA or CMA certification preferred.
Preferred experience includes outpatient, ambulatory care, community healthcare, care coordination, primary care settings, chronic conditions, and electronic medical records.
Bilingual skills are a plus.

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES Patient Care: Ability to assist and care for patients, recognize symptoms, understand treatments, and promote preventive health measures.
Adaptability/Flexibility: Respond effectively to diverse and high-risk patient situations.
Communication: Strong written and oral skills for explaining complex issues and team communication.
Team Building: Ability to work cooperatively within a multidisciplinary team.
Medical Terminology: Knowledge of medical records, procedures, and terminology.
Social Perceptiveness: Ability to work with diverse populations, understanding age-related needs.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS Includes walking, lifting, pulling, climbing stairs, reaching, sitting, standing, bending, grasping, pushing, and manual dexterity, with frequency levels specified for each activity.
