Responsibilities
Our Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health New York Program provides therapeutic care to children, adolescents and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities, Autism Spectrum Disorder, and dual diagnoses. This position is responsible for maintaining standards of developmental disabilities nursing practice. As a Resource/Triage Nurse, you will maintain current healthcare information for program participants, ensure that medications are administered as prescribed, and ensure that Approved Medication Administration Personnel are supervised and their certification is maintained as required by regulations and agency policy.

The Nurse position will be based in our Red Hook campus location.

Salary
With AA/AS: $78,489.84 - $83,984.12

With BA/BS: $80,569.84 - $86,209.72

With MA/MS: $82,649.84 - $88,435.32

Qualifications

Must be licensed to practice as an RN in the state of NY.

One year of nursing experience preferred, but new grads are also welcome.

Must have a valid NY Drivers License.

Be flexible, patient, energetic, creative, and have a sense of humor.

Have a strong passion for working with and helping children and adults with special needs.

Physical Requirements
Pre-employment physical required. Significant and frequent amounts of walking, sitting, stooping, bending & standing required. Frequent planned, outside activities causing exposure to sunlight and heat. Speaking and hearing ability sufficient to communicate effectively by phone or in person at normal volumes. Vision adequate to read correspondence, computer screen, forms, etc. Good manual dexterity.
