FamiliesFirst Network of Lakeview (FFN) provides foster care, adoption, and child welfare services in Escambia, Santa Rosa, Okaloosa, and Walton counties. The nonprofit's specialized team is passionate about helping abused and neglected children and their families. FamiliesFirst Network collaborates with partners throughout the state, in Northwest Florida's four-county area, and within our faith-based communities to ensure the safety and well-being of children. Position Summary
Since 2001, the agency's primary goal is to establish safety and permanency and to support the well-being of abused and neglected children in Northwest Florida.

The primary duty involves performing work that requires advanced knowledge in social work or human behavioral studies. The role involves exercising discretion and independent judgment to provide appropriate services and support to families:
In the Dependency Court system, identified by the Court as needing professional services to prevent future abuse and/or neglect of children.
Voluntarily requesting similar, non-judicial, in-home services.
The goal is to ensure every child has a permanent home that offers physical and emotional safety.

Qualifications
A high school diploma or GED and 4 years of full-time social work or human services experience; or an associate degree or 60+ college credits and 2 years of professional work experience; or 2 years of full-time social work or human services experience; or a bachelor's degree without relevant experience.
Examples of professional experience include, but are not limited to: Guardian Ad Litem, Family Support Worker, Group Home Worker, Teacher's Assistant, Daycare Provider, Therapeutic Assistant, Behavioral Health Technician, Family Intervention Specialist, Home Health Aide, Nurse (LPN or RN), Nursing Facility Assistant, EMT, or other roles assessing trauma factors in children and families.
Preferred: Bachelor's degree.
Must be certified or eligible for certification as a Child Welfare Case Manager (CWCM) within one year of provisional status and maintain active certification.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Proficient in word processing and spreadsheet software.
Ability to pass background screenings.
Valid driver’s license, good driving record, insurable under company policy.
