Position Summary Since 2001, the agency’s primary goal is to establish safety and permanency and to support the well-being of abused and neglected children in Northwest Florida. The primary duty is the performance of work requiring advanced knowledge in social work or human behavioral studies, using such knowledge and prior experience to provide services and support to families (1) in the Dependency Court system identified by the Court as needing professional services to prevent future abuse and/or neglect, and (2) who voluntarily request non-judicial in-home services. Responsible for taking actions to ensure that every child has a permanent home that provides physical and emotional safety. Responsibilities Provide professional services to families in the Dependency Court system and in voluntary in-home services to promote safety and permanency for children.
Exercise discretion and independent judgment to determine the most appropriate services and support.

Qualifications High school diploma or GED and 4 years of full-time social work or human services experience; or an associate degree or 60+ credit hours with 2 years of professional experience; or a bachelor’s degree with relevant experience.
Examples of professional work experience may include: Guardian Ad Litem, Family Support Worker, Group Home Worker, Teacher's Assistant/Aide, Daycare Provider, Therapeutic Assistant, Behavioral Health Technician, Family Intervention Specialist, Home Health Aide, Nurse (LPN/RN), Nursing Facility Assistant, EMT, or other roles involving assessment of factors affecting trauma or protective capacities in children and families.
Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Must be certified or eligible to obtain certification as a Child Welfare Case Manager (CWCM) within one year of provisional status and maintain active certification.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency with word processing and spreadsheet software.
Must pass organization screening requirements, including state or federal background screenings as appropriate.
Must possess a valid driver’s license, a good driving record, and be insurable under the corporate policy.
