Lakeview Center is part of the Federal Loan Repayment Program (HRSA). It provides comprehensive behavioral health care to adults and children with mental illnesses, substance use disorders, and intellectual disabilities across Northwest Florida. Mobile Response Team (MRT)

The MRT serves Escambia, Santa Rosa, Okaloosa, and Walton counties, providing 24/7 crisis intervention via telephone triage or in‑person visits to:

Reduce trauma.

Prevent unnecessary hospitalizations.

Divert persons from junior or criminal system.

Role Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in counseling, social work, psychology, criminal justice, nursing, rehabilitation, special education, health education, or a related human services field.

Minimum 1 year of full‑time experience working with adults experiencing serious mental illness OR 3 years of full‑time experience.

Ability to travel locally to clients’ homes and training locations.

Complete approved mental health‑targeted case‑management training within three months of starting.

Knowledge of resources in the service area for adults with serious mental illness.

Knowledge of and compliance with state and federal statutes, rules, and policies affecting the target population.

Provide individualized, integrated mental health, substance abuse, and co‑occurring services.

Computer proficiency.

Good oral and written communication skills.

Work within agency policies and procedures.

Collaborate with multidisciplinary staff.

Recognize signs and symptoms of abuse.

Relate effectively to individuals with mental illness, substance use disorder, developmental disabilities, and families.

Advocate, problem‑solve, and maintain a therapeutic milieu.

Provide in‑home and community services.

Pass organizational screening requirements, including background checks.

Valid driver’s license in the state of residence, a good driving record, and insurable under corporate policy.

Compensation

Base pay ranges from $20.2255 to $21.8558 per hour, plus supplemental pay (up to 10% of base pay) for MRT members.
