Case Manager, Matching Grant Program
U.S. Committee for Refugees and Immigrants (USCRI) invites applications for the Case Manager, Matching Grant Program. USCRI is a nonprofit organization dedicated to addressing the needs and rights of refugees and immigrants, providing legal, social, and health services nationwide and abroad.
Pay Range
$23.00/hr – $25.00/hr. Actual pay is based on skills and experience and can be discussed with a recruiter.
Overview
The Matching Grant Case Manager will provide support to new refugees and other ORR‑eligible populations served by the USCRI – Houston’s Field Office. Through direct services, the Case Manager helps clients achieve self‑sufficiency within 180 to 240 days of program eligibility by addressing barriers to employment and social integration.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Assist clients with housing, utilities, food, transportation, health and medical needs.
Assess client needs and develop personalized self‑sufficiency plans; work with clients to set and achieve short‑ and long‑term resettlement goals.
Maintain accurate documentation and track client progress.
Submit written reports and maintain case files as required.
Provide cross‑cultural orientation to refugee families and ensure a smooth resettlement process.
Connect clients with supportive community networks and systems for long‑term integration.
Attend stakeholder meetings, collaborate with community partners, and refer clients to additional resources when needed.
Ensure services are linguistically and culturally appropriate; provide education and advocacy as necessary.
Perform other job‑related duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Required Skills & Abilities
High school degree required; undergraduate degree preferred.
Experience in case management or social work preferred.
Bilingual/multi‑lingual preferred.
Strong teamwork and independent work skills with high self‑motivation.
Strong attention to detail, troubleshooting ability, and capacity to meet deadlines.
Exceptional interpersonal skills, including listening and relationship building.
Proficient in Microsoft Office.
Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed.
Valid state driver's license, insurance, clean driving record, and personal transportation.

Training Requirements
Completion of USCRI’s Orientation and Training.
Additional training as identified by supervisors, program directors, or Human Resources.
Physical Demands
Manual dexterity and visual, auditory, and tactile acuity.
Repetitive motion and prolonged periods of sitting and standing.
Lifting (up to 25 lbs), bending, pulling, and carrying.
Mathematical ability (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, standard measurements).
