Schedule: Monday - Friday 9:00 am - 5:00pm
Salary: $21.50 to $22.80
General Description
Under regular supervision, provides treatment through a variety of therapeutic modalities to kinship families in order to preserve continued safety, well-being and permanency of the child(ren) in the home; maintains standards as defined by NASW Code of Ethics. Effectively supports ongoing and collaborative communication amongst all program staff, and is responsible for ensuring a trauma informed care environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Provides therapeutic services to families primarily through home visits
Services will include but are not limited to individual, couple, family, grandparent(s) or other relatives/child(ren) counseling; parent training/education; advocacy as needed
Provide brief case management, information and referral to a smaller population of families
Serve as group co-facilitator for Kinship families utilizing or developing appropriate curriculum
Develop and implement community activities for intergenerational families enrolled in the program
Works collaboratively with Monroe and Wayne County agencies and NYS Kinship Navigator Program
Perform assessments, PSS, ACEs, Family Needs Assessment and other information gathering tools
Attend local community events in order to educate community and obtain program referrals
Meets regularly with supervisor to evaluate and implement professional growth in practice and performance
Inform supervisor in a timely fashion about significant events related to client issues
Participate in consistent supervision, ongoing staff trainings, and program development
Initiate professional development through reading and applying current, relevant literature, development of program activities for Kinship families
Completes required record documentation in accordance with program policies and procedures
Document significant interventions in case records
Coordinate service delivery and complete required pre/post-test, evaluations and screenings
Completes all documentation within required timelines
Awareness of and active support of the Agency's Mission, Vision, Values and Strategic Plan. Including, but not limited to, supporting the Agency's Core Competency initiatives of being Collaborative and Community Focused, Innovative and Entrepreneurial, and Culturally Competent and Diverse
Participates in relevant Agency meetings and/or trainings
Actively pursues development of professional competencies related to job role performance through reading, supervision, in-service training and attendance at conferences and workshops
Awareness and active support of the Agency's Mission, Vision, Values and Strategic Plan. Including, but not limited to, supporting the Agency's Core Competency initiatives of being Collaborative and Community Focused, Innovative and Entrepreneurial, and Culturally Competent and Diverse
Other duties as assigned

Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Social Work or related Child Welfare experience preferred
Credentials: Valid and clean NYS Driver’s License. Use of own personal vehicle is required. Driving within Monroe and Wayne Counties required
Experience: Two years of experience in social work or related field
Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered
