The Case Manager GWGL implements strategies to achieve the organization’s goals and provides employment support and training for Goodwill Workforce Development program participants and trainees. Work days are Sunday through Thursday with varying hours. Location: Palatine, IL. Salary: $43,000.00 - $52,000.00 (subject to experience and qualifications).
Responsibilities
Develop, implement, and monitor individualized development plans for program participants.
Provide job‑related guidance in career exploration, social and emotional skill awareness, professional appearance, appropriate workplace behavior, and attendance; facilitate referrals to other services when needed.
Audit employee attendance against Goodwill’s policy and analyze progress toward goal achievement; participate in corrective action meetings with management.
Write regular case notes; accurately review and document program plans; maintain confidential records.
Communicate and maintain relationships with participants, families, referral sources, and Goodwill staff; coordinate with HR, scheduling, transportation, and other teams.
Organize meetings with internal staff to promote communication and consistency.
Execute project and change‑management responsibilities, including planning and managing work, adapting to change, and engaging in continuous learning.
Problem‑solve independently, interpreting data and resolving issues of moderate to advanced complexity.
Apply professional principles and skills to modify processes.
Champion Goodwill’s community engagement initiatives.
Complete additional projects and duties as assigned.
Requirements
Two years of college education or experience equivalence and a minimum of three years of experience.
Educational background in vocational rehabilitation, social work, counseling, psychology, special education, or a similar field.
Prior experience working with persons with disabilities and disadvantages preferred.
Knowledge of job training methods, techniques, and principles preferred.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (Excel, OneNote, Outlook, PowerPoint, Publisher, Word) and willingness to learn Workforce Development Information systems.
Valid driver’s license.
Bilingual Spanish or American Sign Language preferred.

Occasionally lifts and/or moves up to 20 pounds. Moves around to accomplish tasks. Work may involve weather conditions, exposure to human blood, bodily fluids or tissues, and repetitive hand and foot use. Vision is required while using a computer keyboard and electronic information; travel may be required.
Compensation and Benefits
Salary ranges from $43,000.00 to $52,000.00, subject to experience and qualifications. Certain roles may be eligible to participate in an incentive plan; participation does not guarantee an incentive payment and is subject to plan terms.
