Base pay range: $20.00/yr - $25.00/yr
Overview
Under the leadership of the Program Manager, the Case Manager for Employment Programs will oversee State and Federally funded employment programs, as well as perform employment-related activities, to help refugee clients find jobs and work towards the goal of self-sufficiency.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Provide case management and training related to employability and self-sufficiency.
Develop self-sufficiency plans for clients.
Conduct referral to agency services to remove barriers to self-sufficiency.
Maintain case files and relevant databases.
Submit written reports as required.
Provide cross-cultural information and support to employers.
Orient refugee clients to community resources.
Work to connect clients with supportive community networks and support systems to ensure their long-term integration in the community.
Ensure that refugees are being served in a linguistically and culturally appropriate manner and provide education and advocacy when necessary.
Perform other job-related duties as assigned by supervisor.
Assess experience, skills and limitations of clients; identify job opportunities suitable for clients; assist clients in filling out employment applications, set up interviews with potential employers, accompany clients to interviews or arrange transportation.
Position Requirements
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution, preferable in Human Services, Social Work or related discipline.
Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to communicate well, building relationship and partnership with USCRI clients, employment partners, state and federal program staff, headquarters and field office staff.
Proficient in the use of MS Word, MS Excel and database programs, as needed.
Good sense of humor and pleasant, diplomatic manner with the ability to get along with others and thrive in a team environment.
Demonstrated commitment to the mission of USCRI, and interest in contributing to the long-term success of a local nonprofit organization.
Must have a clean valid driver’s license and insurance, and a reliable motor vehicle.
Demonstrated support of USCRI’s values by exhibiting respect for others, maintenance of confidential information and an appreciation of a multicultural workplace.
TRAINING REQUIREMENT
Satisfactory completion of USCRI’s Orientation and Training.
Complete additional training as identified by supervisor or Human Resources.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Use of manual dexterity, tactile, visual, and audio acuity.
Use of repetitive motion, prolonged periods of sitting and standing, and sustained visual and mental applications and demands.
Occasional lifting (up to 25 pounds), bending, pulling, and carrying.
Quantitative/mathematical ability (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, standard measurements).
