Responsibilities Under close supervision, provide support and structure to residents in developing program plans by managing a caseload of client cases and administering policies and procedures as directed by the contracting agency and Facility Director.
Model the principles of the “What Works” system through evidence-based practices in all interactions with clients and staff.
Train and assist less experienced case managers.
May perform duties of a Monitor, including resident intakes, check-ins, breath analysis and drug screens as backup.
Prepare written personalized programs for residents with measurable criteria, timelines, and goals.
Review plans with residents weekly and document progress or revisions toward life skills and re-entry goals.
Assist residents in budgeting, housing, education/vocational programs, and community involvement to pursue financial independence.
Monitor facility sanitation and safety; assign daily chores to residents to meet facility standards.
Orient new residents to the program, complete required paperwork, provide facility tours, and introduce them to others as applicable.
Make entries into confidential resident files to support case analysis and program planning and maintain file security.
Assist Job Developers to verify residents' employment and ensure alignment with program plans.
Counsel unemployed residents on obtaining employment in cooperation with Job Developers.
Verify pass plans and ensure resident accountability in the community as required by contract.
Prepare terminal reports upon resident release to summarize program performance and contract compliance.
Participate in staff meetings, share observations, and contribute to problem solving as part of a cohesive team.
Maintain confidentiality of information involving employees, vendors, residents, and outside agencies as appropriate.
Monitor client compliance with alcohol and drug counseling when required and report program violations per established procedures.
Conduct orientation meetings with new clients to explain program rules and responsibilities; explain the client contract in detail.
Install electronic monitoring equipment on new clients when necessary and set client schedules based on sentencing information.
Approve temporary schedule changes for approved activities and communicate effectively with all levels of staff to promote teamwork.
Adhere to company policies, attend to overtime as needed, and ensure safety and compliance in the work environment.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications Four-year degree in a social, human services, criminal justice or behavioral science program from an accredited college or university.
Minimum one year of experience in human services, corrections, or community-based services.
Familiarity with community corrections systems and current practices.
Familiarity with workforce practices, public/private agencies, and employment services.
Current and active driver’s license.
Ability to write clear, concise reports in English with correct grammar.
Mathematical ability to perform basic calculations and percentages.
Ability to react quickly and appropriately in emergencies and to be flexible in performing duties.
Willingness to conduct home site visits as required by contract; comfortable using computers and facility software.
Knowledge of case management, referral services, and interventions in group and individual modalities.
Strong presentation, public speaking, and facilitation skills; good organizational skills and attention to detail.
Effective communication skills with internal and external contacts at all levels; ability to handle multiple priorities; strong problem-solving and interpersonal skills.
Basic computer skills; bilingual English/Spanish skills may be required.
