The Counselor/Case Manager will be responsible for counseling, crisis intervention, client outreach, intake, and case management.
Primary Duties
Oversees and guides the rehabilitation and transition plans for Program Participants.
Conducts individual and group counseling sessions.
Prepares and updates case file notes and reports on program clients’ progress
Conducts program intake screening interviews, and recommends program placement or referrals
Moderates discussions and workshops on anger management, conflict resolution, and life planning skills.
Secondary Duties
Complete various special projects as directed.
Supervises New Client detoxification process
Produce various reports for staff, management and board of directors.
Job Requirements
Valid Calif. Driver’s License & Social Security Card.
Certification in substance abuse counseling
Thorough knowledge of 12 Steps
Must have a neat, clean professional appearance.
Able to take initiative and work independently.
Able to work well with clients, staff, volunteers, visitors and outside organizations.
Exceptional oral and written communications skills.
Exceptional organizational skills.
Strong administrative skills.
