About the Role Are you passionate about helping people find stability, hope, and purpose? The Topeka Rescue Mission is seeking a Guest Services Case Manager to join our Guest Services Team (GST).
In this vital ministry role, you’ll work one-on-one with guests experiencing homelessness to develop personalized Stabilization Plans — walking alongside them as they take steps toward spiritual, emotional, and physical well-being. You’ll serve as an advocate, encourager, and connector, helping guests access the care, resources, and community support they need to rebuild their lives.

What You’ll Do Meet with guests to complete intakes and create individualized stabilization plans.
Assess guests’ needs, abilities, and wellness to identify next steps for stability.
Listen, encourage, and guide guests through barriers with grace and accountability.
Partner with other TRM departments and outside agencies to connect guests to resources.
Maintain accurate records of guest progress and referrals using ClientTrack.
Reassess and adjust stabilization plans regularly to support continued growth.
Follow up with discharged guests at key milestones (1 week, 1 month, 6 months, 1 year) to ensure long-term success.
Maintain an organized caseload of approximately 30 guests.
Support guests with practical needs such as transportation requests, passes, or meal arrangements.
Communicate regularly with Shelter Management and the GST Director regarding guest updates or concerns.
Promote teamwork across departments and uphold TRM’s values of compassion, integrity, and Christ-centered service.
What We’re Looking For Education & Experience High School diploma or GED required.
2+ years of experience working with at-risk populations or in crisis intervention preferred.
Skills & Attributes A heart of compassion and a genuine desire to share the love of Jesus.
Excellent communication, listening, and problem-solving skills.
Strong organization and documentation abilities.
Ability to manage multiple cases and maintain confidentiality.
A calm, patient demeanor with the ability to de-escalate challenging situations.
Team player who inspires trust and collaboration.
Balanced physically, emotionally, mentally, and spiritually to serve effectively.
Other Requirements Valid driver’s license and insurable under TRM’s policy.
Ability to lift up to 30 lbs and move between TRM buildings as needed.
