The primary purpose of the Child Support Case Manager position is to manage child support cases in accordance with federal, state and local laws and procedures.
Responsibilities include:
Manages child support cases in accordance with federal, state and local laws and procedures, including reviewing cases, conducting investigations, and enforcing child support orders.
Maintains case tracking enforcement system, provides narratives of case activities, and responds to notifications.
Processes appropriate documentation for child support cases, generates letters and forms, and revises case information as needed.
Testifies in court if necessary, attends court hearings, and prepares cases for legal action.
Keeps abreast of changes in child support program laws, policies, and procedures.
Minimum Qualifications:
High school graduate or GED, and 1 year experience in a related field.
Additional Qualifications:
Excellent customer service skills, organizational skills, analytical skills, communication skills, attention to detail, experience with computer systems, and proficient with computers.
Social services, child support, and domestic relations / family law experience are a plus.
Compensation:
Salary: $21.27 / hour (per union contract).
