Job Summary
Full‑time case manager in a residential program for adolescents located at 1000 Atlantic Avenue, Camden, NJ. Monday–Friday. Salary: $55,000–$58,000 plus full benefits.

Responsibilities

Establish supportive, motivational, and therapeutic relationships with youth, ensuring a safe and secure residential care environment.

Build and maintain professional rapport with family members, community providers, and agencies.

Facilitate youth and family orientation within the first 24 hours of admission.

Review and sign all required admission and discharge paperwork.

Provide monthly on‑site family psycho‑educational activities consistent with youth treatment and discharge planning.

Collaborate with clinicians, families, collaterals, and youth to develop treatment goals, identify needs, and create discharge plans.

Attend weekly clinical review meetings to present reports and updates to the clinical team and Program Director.

Maintain comprehensive, accurate, current youth records in accordance with regulatory requirements.

Consult with external agencies to enhance and provide support services and resources.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in a human service‑related field (social work, mental health counseling, human development, psychology, sociology, etc.) with 3 or more years of relevant experience, or unlicensed master’s level practitioner with 1 year of relevant experience.

Valid driver’s license.

One year of experience providing direct care to youth in a behavioral health or institutional setting.

Physical capability to restrain patients in emergencies; must be certified biannually to demonstrate competence in therapeutic holds.

Ability to pass a Criminal Record History Clearance and a Child Abuse History Clearance.

18 years of age or older.

Qualifications

Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.

Ability to work independently, proactively, and resourcefully with little or no supervision.

Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects with competing priorities and deadlines.

Commitment to staying current with trauma‑informed care practices and de‑escalation techniques.

Competence in applying the Nurtured Heart Approach and its fundamentals.

Provide thorough, timely, legible, and objective documentation.

Contribute to quality improvement activities.

Dress professionally in accordance with the Dress Code Policy.

Report suspected abuse or neglect to the State Central Registry (1‑877‑NJ ABUSE) as required by law.

Support an environment that eliminates restraint and seclusion.
