Care Manager – Laurel Ridge Treatment Center
Our 330‑bed comprehensive Behavioral Healthcare Facility located in San Antonio, Texas is seeking a compassionate and dynamic Care Manager to develop and maintain therapeutic relationships throughout the continuum of care.

Key Responsibilities

Provide admission and continued stay reviews to ensure that care meets the clinical needs of the clients and reduces financial risk to the facility.

Participate in measures to improve the delivery and utilization of care and evaluate the effectiveness of these actions; enter all authorizations into the MS4/Midas daily.

Serve as an expert in documentation, communication, teamwork, and customer service; advocate for internal and external customers including the client, family, physician, Treatment Team, and Managed Care Organization.

Work in partnership with the Physician through rounds and staffing to facilitate compassionate patient communication and advocacy, effective Treatment Team planning, and timely discharge planning.

Provide a strategic link between the Managed Care Organization, Treatment Team goals, and the financial aspects of care.

Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred or High School Diploma with 5+ years of experience in the mental health field and utilization review.

Licensure/Certification: LVN, RN, LPC, or LMSW preferred but not required.

Experience: At least two years’ experience in a mental health setting with prior case management/utilization review and discharge scheduling experience preferred.
